I love this book! Can't wait to read the next one in the series. Bad Kitty is hilarious; Jaffe is one of the funniest authors I've ever read, consistently making me laugh. I can hear Jas's voice very clearly and I like her sarcastic sass and clever wit. The mystery plot is complex and surprising. The meta footnotes are innovative.

After finishing this book, I'm trying to read a suspenseful by another author and it's hard, seems dull and dark and tremendously unfun. I'm spoiled now by the vivacious sparkle of this style.

While I was serious, an over-achiever focusing on "Profound Greatness," nothing like the sort of shallow pop-culture teens in Jaffe's books, maybe I'm getting a chance to vicariously be like them now through these novels, and it's refreshing.

I became a fan if Michele Jaffe a few years ago when I stumbled across Bad Kitty. This book has never failed to make me laugh. I love the mystery and I love the characters. This book deserves a 5/5 stars and more. Any one of any age can read this book and I highly recommend it.
It was predictable and wordy
Juvenile. Not what I expected from the description. A teen would probably like it.
I think its target audience is mainly older teens, but I'm 55 and loved it!! Of course, I once was a mystery book loving teen and have now raised 4 teens. It was a hoot!!
This book started off humorously, but became pretty dull. I never invested in any of the characters, although I wanted to.
I normally don't read teen chick lit, but I was intrigued by the title (having experienced badly behaved kitties myself), so I read it. I'm glad I did. It was one of the best books I've read in years--fabulously well-written, ferociously intelligent, and very, very funny.

This is not a typical action-driven, slyly plotted mystery. At times it is as much farce as mystery. Its charm lies in Jas and her friends, their unique personalities, and Jas's inimitable voice in telling her story. If you understand that, you'll like this book.

Don't expect depth in this book, just go for the ride.
2.5 Stars This is one of those books that have a very distinct narrative voice and that voice just didn't work for me. I found Jasmine ramblings to be annoying and at times almost incoherent. The story felt disjointed and the dialog at times was painful. I'm sure that there is an audience for this book but I'm just sure who that audience is.
